The keyboard makes access to buildings safer and more convenient. Combined with a smart door lock, it allows access to buildings via an RFID badge or PIN code.
As the keyboard can be used for both access control and alarm system control, it is the perfect device to include in a solution for protecting offices or industrial buildings. By using an RFID tag, employees can easily gain access only to specific areas by ensuring that only authorized personnel can enter sensitive areas.
With the keyboard, users can give access codes to authorized people and enable keyless entry – for example, through a security solution for a home. In this way, maintenance staff or guests can access the home effortlessly.
The Zigbee-based keyboard includes an RFID reader and allows users to activate and deactivate an alarm system using a PIN code or RFID tag. In addition, access data can be updated remotely through a gateway to facilitate access control.
RFID only consumes energy when it is needed. The keyboard includes a sensor that detects when a person is at a distance of 5 to 10 cm, which will activate RFID and turn on the keyboard. This saves energy and allows for a longer battery life.
The keyboard includes an anti-tamper switch that detects the opening of the unit, making it suitable for alarm systems. In addition, the keyboard includes a programmable buzzer to indicate the input, output, alarms or any other indication needed in your solution. Red, green and yellow LEDs are available for alarm indications, etc.
The keyboard can be delivered in white and black and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It has 16 buttons that you can design to fit your solution and can be mounted on the wall using screws or double-sided tape.
