Remote reading of light pulses from any electronic meter: water, gas, electricity, energy.
LoRaWAN® Flash'O is a simple and economical solution that transforms any electronic meter emitting light pulses into a meter communicating on a public or private LoRaWAN®long range and bidirectional network.
Flash'O counts and accumulates the number of light flashes. The power consumption can be estimated by the remote server from the energy weight of each flash (pulses per kWh or Wh) indicated on the meter. The remote optical probe is simply attached to the meter with magnets or Velcro. The cable length is about 50 cm.
The sensor is equipped with :
- an NFC identification tag (product number, serial number, manufacturing batch),
- a magnetic switch for activation and deactivation.
The counting data can be stored in local memory and compressed before being transmitted on the public or private LoRaWAN® network. This transfer technique is particularly well suited to the transmission of load curves as it considerably reduces the amount of data transmitted while preserving the sensor's autonomy.
When powered by a 3.6V 3.6Ah battery, the autonomy of the sensor is 12 years (data compression mode) for a configuration performing one measurement per hour and one transmission per day.
