The AIR-1 is a 16-in-1 air quality sensor compatible with Home Assistant. It measures, among other things, the following data:
Version with CO2 module and gas module
The Apollo AIR-1 is the most compact, feature-rich, affordable, and expandable air sensor for Home Assistant. Utilizing Wi-Fi and ESPHome, it is locally controlled without the need for a subscription or cloud.
It is powered by USB-C and a standard wall socket.
The AIR-1 measures only 61 mm x 61 mm x 30 mm, and its aesthetic design allows it to blend seamlessly into the environment.
It is equipped with temperature, humidity, PM1, PM2.5, PM4, PM10, VOC, NOx, CO2, barometric pressure, and gas sensor (CO, NO2, C2H50H, H2, NH3, CH4).
Many air quality measurements are possible thanks to the high-quality environmental sensor developed by a highly reputable manufacturer. This sensor integrated into the AIR-1 has a lifespan of 10 years in continuous use, whereas most market particle sensors have only a 3-year lifespan.
It is possible/recommended to configure an offset to account for temperature shift due to heat generated by the ESP32-C3.
The AIR-1 is also equipped with a pre-calibrated and ready-to-use CO2 sensor. For example, it will allow you to receive alerts to open a window or automate the operation of the fan in your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system when CO2 levels are high.
This sensor can detect various gas concentrations such as CO, C2H5OH (alcohol), H2, NO2, NH3.
Detectable Gases
- Carbon Monoxide CO 1 - 1000 ppm
- Nitrogen Dioxide NO2 0.05 - 10 ppm
- Ethanol C2H5OH 10 - 500 ppm
- Hydrogen H2 1 - 1000 ppm
- Ammonia NH3 1 - 500 ppm
- Methane CH4 >1000 ppm
This pressure sensor powers the SCD40 (CO2) for more accurate readings.
Use the built-in Bluetooth to track Bluetooth devices in your home, allowing you to know which devices are closest to the sensor. You will need to know the MAC addresses of the Bluetooth devices you want to track.
Allows for configuring color-coded alerts for different home scenarios.
- Flashes red if air quality is poor.
- Flashes green at night on the trash bins.
- Flashes blue when it's treat time for your puppy.
A connector that will allow for integrating future sensors and power methods. Some expansion boards are currently in development, but there is no release date set at this time.
